P-I-C-K content does NOT eliminate long-form journalism.  It encourages it so that scanners with limited time and interest still acquire a "nugget of news" while the structure faciliates continuing engagement for users who more time and more interest.  In other words, all types of users who encounter P-I-C-K content learn something, depending on available time and interest in the topic.
